A look back at 2008...

This past year has been yet another full one for us, and I think we are just recently feeling settled from the whirlwind that we have been in...

In January Andre was told he was going to be laid off from his engineering job in Medford, WI (three weeks before Sierra was born).

After much waiting and anticipation our baby girl was born in February and we began the transition to parenthood. Sierra has brought us so much joy and laughter (and a few tears of course, particularly when I'm sleep deprived...)

In April we sold our house in Medford and moved in with my parents for two months while we house-hunted in New Richmond. Andre started his new job here (same company) and commuted an hour each way.

In June we bought our third house and began unpacking and settling in again. In July we celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary. Andre took another online class this fall to keep working towards his MBA. November brought his favorite time of year...hunting! He came home with two deer.

We settled on a church and have since been trying to connect and make it feel like "home". Andre plays on the worship team and I am in a mom's group. We keep trying to develop friendships and look forward to the day when those friendships feel like a pair of old comfy jeans and not stiff new ones.

While the year has had it's twists and turns, we have been so thankful for God's provision and guidance, and for the joy of our new little family. Happy New Year!
