Yesterday Sierra was up at 5am and then Andre watched her while I ran (inside of course!). I was about to lay her down for a nap and get ready for moms' group when his car wouldn't start...he took my car and Sierra and I were housebound for the day. On his way to work the truck's engine light came on...go figure. Andre spent his evening in a freezing garage changing oil and filters in both vehicles. Sierra and I took a long nap together in the afternoon since she wasn't going down in her crib...she's cutting her third tooth. I love snuggling with her, even if it means nothing else gets done!
Today we're still stuck inside thanks to frigid temperatures. I ran while she napped, we've done three loads of laundry, made bullar (Swedish cinnamon rolls), and spent lots of time playing. It doesn't take much to make Sierra smile--just putting a toy on my head can do it! Or singing "head and shoulders" and squeezing her knees.
Tomorrow my mom's coming to babysit in the afternoon and I'll finish up Christmas gifts, then on Friday we're off to Blair, Nebraska for Christmas with Andre's family.
We're thankful for a warm cozy house as the wind blows outside!...
