My mom stayed for the night after Thanksgiving and she and Sierra did a painting project--making snowman cards, and played with playdough, and colored pictures. Sierra had a full day!
Sierra LOVED decorating her own Christmas tree for her room, and kept asking for more ornaments. I've started putting up some decorations (we'll have a tree in the living room and one in the family room/basement), and getting out the Advent candles and tree. We started listening to Christmas music today as well, now that Thanksgiving is over--I just can't bring myself to listen to it before Thanksgiving, though our culture certainly seems to try to skip right from Halloween to Christmas. Sometimes it's difficult to stomach so much consumerism every where we go, and I prefer to be home with our own lights and candles and music and remember why Christmas really happened. We're beginning to tell the story of Christmas to Sierra as well, and she's been telling me that "Baby Jesus is born".

I saw a little girl that looked a lot like Sierra today...thought of you all. I hope you are having good days. What fun to decorate the little tree and I'm so glad to hear that Christmas music is filling your house...it is about time! :) Happy new week!
