In June we traveled to Nebraska to spend a week with Andre's parents and siblings, and at the end of the week we celebrated his grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, where most of Andre's cousins and aunts and uncles came as well. The celebrations included a family fun run, playing in the park, lots of picnic food, and a huge family trip to the Omaha zoo. Lots of activity, lots of fun!

Nils and Laura (Andre's grandparents), and their three kids, below. Above is the spouses. And the family kept growing!

Being presented with a family scrapbook -- each person in the family contributed a page to the album and one of Andre's cousins assembled it, acccompioned by the family singing "Great is Thy Faithfulness" accapella.

Zoo trip--definitely a zoo worth visiting!

My "Minnesota men" on our lunch break.

Andre's cousins kids', whatever that is! :) and his neice, nephew, and Sierra at the zoo. Ethan had fallen asleep in the stroller at this point.

There are five kids in the family now--our two and the three that his sister has. We managed to all walk to the park one day--with three strollers and baby front-pack carrier! After that, the oldest started walking by themselves--great exercise! ;)

Love that happy face of Ethan's!

An attepmt at getting them all to look the same direction! The oldest is 5 1/2, the girls are 3 1/2, Ethan almost 2, and the baby 4 months.

Meals together at the "kiddie table".

swimming and blowing bubbles.
