Ethan is TWO!!

The master cake decorator in the house. It took him five hours to decorate Ethan's Thomas the Train cake (which was then consumed in about 15 minutes!).

Here's the first stage of the cake process. Andre also had some help from his dad at the beginning.

I made monkey cupcakes for Ethan's birthday morning (Friday). We got Sierra up and then woke him up with singing and cupcakes. He was stunned and confused for awhile, though loved cupcakes for breakfast!

Now he's waking up to enjoy balloons and opening a gift!
Concentrating very hard on eating the Thomas cake.

Andre and his dad and grandpa laughing at a joke on Saturday at Ethan's party.

The birthday boy!...who is full of smiles and laughter (and being two, some whining thrown in there as well :) ), and who is a great delight to us.

We had the joy of having Andre's parents with us for a day and half for Ethan's "birthday weekend"--they drove up from Nebraska along with Andre's grandparents to celebrate. So we had a full house for his party with both sides of the family represented, as well as friends. The kids couldn't get enough of the attention (and has made today--Monday--very quiet! :) ). We also celebrated Andre's parents birthdays on Friday night--his dad's was a couple weeks ago, and his mom shares the day with Ethan.

Farfar brought a story to share with Sierra that he had grown up reading --"Raffy and the Honkebeast".
