We haven't "celebrated" Valentine's Day before, but Sierra seemed pretty excited about it, so we had a candle-lit meal (and she wore pink tights and a red satin party dress all day), and we'd gotten the kids a tiny gift (stuffed animal and chocolate) each to open, one at breakfast, one at supper.

We wrote notes to the kids on hearts and taped them all over their door for Valentine's day morning--they loved seeing these and hearing all the things we wrote about them. It was a good exercise for us to think about all that we do love about them. Hope to make this a tradition!
