The kids love hearing Farfar tell Bible stories, so their request for the weekend was to have him tell the Easter story. He did it in three parts, for the three nights they were here. The first night we enjoyed smores by the fire and then the Bible story before bedtime for the kids.
Looking forward to their smores!
Sierra helped Farmor make Hot Cross Buns for Easter morning.
Sierra and I made and Easter garden, with the little tipped pot symbolizing the empty tomb with the stone rolled away, and the three crosses on top.
Decorating Easter eggs for the first time--they loved this!
Andre's parents and a cousin of his mom's came to spend the Easter weekend with us. We did an insane amount of baking, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and drinking coffee. It was lovely. For me, it's like a mini-vacation in my home--all "normal" activities except parenting and cooking cease, and I enjoy having adults around that bless my life, and Andre home for some extra hours.
