Sierra has been sick all weekend, starting Thursday night, with a nasty runny nose and high fever and no signs of improvment, so much so that by Saturday afternoon we brought her in to the ER (Urgent Care was closed, go figure)...we spent two hours there and had five different people see her--one took her temp and weight, one swabbed her nose, one wrote on her chart and checked her lungs, and the doctor checked her ears. FIVE PEOPLE to do all of that...and it took TWO hours! AND, the diagnosis was a fever. Unbelievable! I could have told them that by looking at the poor girl with a flushed face and watery glazed eyes who was just laying in my lap. We're glad we took her in to rule anything else out, such as an ear infection, and we're thankful for the option of taking her somewhere, but it certainly didn't rate high on my list of positives of patient satisfaction for a clinic. Anyway, by this morning she was feeling better and the fever seems to have subsided.
