Our little girl is one year old today...the time has flown! A year ago I was in 17 hours of labor followed by a c-section and then we were entrusted with a tiny little life, having no idea how to care for one so small. And not fully comprehending the scope of exhaustion we were about to face as new parents either! Sierra has brought more joy to us this first year of having her than we could have imagined, and while there are times we miss our "freedom" from before she came, or wish that we could sleep past 5am (she still thinks this is a good time to start her day), we also can't fathom not having her babbling around the house as she talks on her phone, proudly wearing her beads, or bringing us a book that she wants to read, dragging her blanket behind her, or dancing by the stereo when there's music on. We are blessed beyond measure by this little girl, and thankful that God gives us grace and wisdom each day as we learn to parent her.

Happy Birthday Sierra!

Yes, Happy Birthday to sweet little Sierra!!! What an incredible blessing it was for me to come and be with you those first couple of weeks last year. It seems like yesterday. And, Krista, thank you for all the hard work you went through to 'birth' her. We are very thankful. We love you. mamma/farmor and pappa/farfar
