Enjoyed a great visit with a friend from childhood through highschool days in Ethiopia and Kenya that I haven't been in touch with in nine years! She and her family were on a road trip and stayed for a night. So grateful for friendships that can be picked right up despite the passage of time.

The kids are fascinated by bugs and insects and frogs and toads. Anything that moves. :) Here they're inspecting a caterpillar I found in the garden. A couple weeks ago Sierra and Andre caught 16 toads and frogs in our window well and released them into the garden.

Enjoyed going to the farmer's market in town this morning and getting a couple of pastries (most of the other stuff being sold we are already growing!).
