summer weekend

Playing in the pool Sunday afternoon. Ice cream cones on the deck for dessert.

Saturday afternoon/evening was spent with my parents. They took the kids to the swimming pool for a couple hours while Andre and I got to go shopping (each to a different place!) and get a haircut. Summer food of hot dogs, fruit and salad and popsicles futher delighted the kids, and then ending the evening with Sierra's "must read at Grandma's house" book--"The Great Fuzz Frenzy".

Way too excited to stop for a photo--this is the best I got of them in the tent, climbing all over their bunk cot!

Andre put our swing in the screen porch so we could enjoy the fire without the bugs. Had our nightly devotions and stories and guitar singing out there with the kids.

We camped out Friday night in our backyard. The kids LOVED it (and were exhausted the next day from a late night).
