My father-in-law always does family devotions with his grandkids whenever we're all together. This year Ethan even joined in once, happy to be old enough to sit with everyone, though I don't know how much he understood. Earlier in the summer was the story of Joseph, and the second time I was in Nebraska, my father-in-law worked his way through the Ten Commandments. The three older kids were able to learn a bunch of them in that week, and I have been trying to continue with Sierra. Below is the Ten Commandments train she colored and glued together that we hung above her bed. Each train car has a different commandment on it, with the caboose being Proverbs 22:6--"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it". I'm thankful that she's like a sponge and able to memorize the verses, and pray that they get written on her heart as well.
